تأسست مكتبة معهد الخرطوم الدولي للغة العربية للناطقين بغيرها مع إنشاء المعهد عام 1974م . والمكتبة تدعم رسالة المعهد المتمثلة في نشر اللغة العربية ، وذلك بإعداد متخصصين في تعليم اللغة العربية للناطقين بغيرها

وتقوم المكتبة بتوفير المواد والخدمات لتحقيق هذا الهدف .

 تشمل مواد المكتبة اللغة العربية وآدابها مع إهتمام خاص بالعربية للناطقين بغيرها ، كما تشمل المواد :

التربية وعلم النفس والدراسات الإسلامية والحضارة العربية والإسلامية .

تزيد محتويات المكتبة عن عشرين ألف عنوان ،  وبها 1890 رسالة ماجستير ودبلوم وذلك حتي عام 2008 م .
